Keeping the sink and range where they are keeps the number in the lower half of the range; opening a wall or reworking the panel moves it up. Much of the region's housing stock predates modern kitchen electrical loads. When we open walls in a 1920s Ballard bungalow or a 1960s Tacoma rambler, we regularly find undersized circuits or no dedicated appliance runs. We look for that during the assessment and price it in writing rather than discovering it mid-project and issuing a change order.
