Flooring Remodeling & Installation in Seattle & Tacoma
We install LVP, SPC, laminate, engineered hardwood, and tile across Seattle and Tacoma — always over a subfloor we have leveled and moisture-checked first. Most single-floor installs take 3 days to 2 weeks.

The floor fails from underneath
Nearly every floor failure we are called to repair traces back to what was under it: a subfloor that was never leveled, a crawlspace pushing moisture up through an unsealed slab or joist bay, or an underlayment chosen for price instead of the room. We test moisture, flatten the substrate to the manufacturer's tolerance, and document it — because that documentation is also what keeps your product warranty alive.
Choosing the right product for the room
SPC and LVP shrug off wet boots and dog nails, which makes them the default for entries, kitchens, and basements here. Engineered hardwood belongs where you want real wood underfoot and the moisture picture is controlled. Laminate can be excellent value in bedrooms and offices. We will tell you plainly when the product you picked is wrong for the room rather than install it and hope.
Transitions, expansion, and the details that show later
Floating floors need real expansion gaps at every perimeter and vertical obstruction, and long runs need transitions where the manufacturer says so. Skipping either is why click floors peak, buckle, or separate a year in. We plank direction, plan the layout, and set transitions before the first row goes down.

Flooring Remodeling & Installation FAQ
- Can you install new flooring over my existing floor?
- Sometimes — it depends on the existing surface, total height at doors and appliances, and the new product's requirements. We check flatness and moisture first and tell you honestly whether an overlay will hold up or whether removal is the right call.
- Is LVP or laminate better for a Puget Sound home?
- For entries, kitchens, baths, and anything over a crawlspace or slab, rigid-core LVP or SPC handles moisture better. Laminate is a strong value choice in dry rooms like bedrooms and offices.
- How long does a flooring installation take?
- Most homes finish in 3 days to 2 weeks. Square footage matters, but subfloor prep is usually what decides the schedule.
